Most of Gabriel Lampert's working life was spent teaching statistics at New Mexico State University.  But he also found time to earn an MA in Creative Writing and to develop and teach a course there on Jewish Literature.  He has published several short stories and essays; his story "Journey," first published in Response, was made part of the syllabus of the Cleveland College of Jewish Studies' course on the Jewish-American short story.
